Our Story

It all began in Toronto, Canada, when the founder of Freend Kat, Catherine, whose sensitive skin condition worsened to the point where existing clothing would irritate her skin.  Unable to find a cold weather scarf that was elegant, comfortable and gentle on the skin, she decided to create her own.
 

Her vision was simple - to develop the most comfortable everyday cold weather scarf made out of non-toxic fabrics that anyone could wear to work, important functions, regular activities, or even at home. 

When the Freend Kat brand was established, the team sought out cotton mills, fabric manufacturers and garment factories to find the best fabric and design that would live up to our requirements and rigorous standards of testing.

Today, we are proud to share that Freend Kat™ scarves are made ethically in Canada using sustainable fabrics that are gentle on the skin and kind to the senses.
